Diesel Mechanic /

Fleet Technician B

to help with repairs and

maintenance on tractors, trailers, lift gates, and reefer equipment

at our

Martin Brower

facility in

Conroe . Candidates must have the ability to make on the spot repairs to trailers, lift gates reefer units and tractors. Must be able to make timely decisions on road calls and driver pull-ups and have the ability to relay information to driver/business unit and team members by phone, email. Candidates must be proficient in Microsoft application, troubleshooting both electrical and mechanical equipment using computer software to aid in troubleshooting. Candidates should know how to do proper pm's on all equipment with minimal supervision. Shift:

Full-Time l 2nd shift

Sunday-Wednesday

1:00pm-11:30pm

Pay: $28.00 - $30.00/hr, depending upon experience

Position Responsibilities: The Fleet Technician focuses on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed As the Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance You will inspect brake systems to ensure that machines are in proper operating condition and make sure that equipment has required licensing and registration You will use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers and perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery You will examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices Other duties as assigned Required Education and Experience: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement) Preferred Education and Experience: Technical School Certification
