Job Summary/Objective
The Payroll & HR Coordinator ensures accurate payroll processing and efficient HR operations, supporting employees with payroll-related inquiries and HR administrative tasks. This role requires strong attention to detail, compliance knowledge, and proficiency in Dayforce. Responsibilities include managing payroll, maintaining compliance with labor laws, assisting with benefits administration, and optimizing HR workflows. The ideal candidate possesses excellent problem-solving skills, discretion in handling sensitive information, and the ability to enhance operational efficiency within the Payroll & HR function.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Manage payroll operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of employee salaries, benefits, and deductions.
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local payroll regulations, including oversee tax filings and compliance audits.
- Assist with onboarding, employee records management, benefits administration, and HR policy implementation.
- Address payroll-related inquires, resolve discrepancies, and provide guidance on compensation and benefits.
- Identify opportunities to enhance payroll and HR workflows for efficiency and accuracy.
- Maintain HRIS and payroll systems, ensuring data integrity and security.
- Oversee leave of absence (LOA) processes, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal requirements while supporting employee needs.
- Adhere to Planet Nine’s operational policies, safety procedures, and regulatory standards by completing required training and maintaining compliance across all assigned duties.
- Adapt to evolving priorities by performing additional tasks or projects as needed to support team and organizational goals
Skills and Qualifications
- Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and HR compliance.
- Proficiency in Dayforce.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to handle confidential information and discretion.
- Familiarity with benefits administration and employee relations.
- Strong analytical and organization skills.
Education and Experience Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3-5 years of experience in payroll processing and HR operations.
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing.
Physical Requirements (if applicable)
- Ability to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally (such as moving files or office supplies).
