About The Role

The Production Manager will drive process improvement on the production floor, focusing on improving operational processes and reducing costs through Lean, Six Sigma, 5S, Single Piece Flow, and other established manufacturing principles. You will establish effective warehouse policies and procedures to ensure peak departmental efficiency and be hands-on on the production floor.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day warehouse operations, including Receiving, Production, and Shipping.
  • Provide leadership and coaching to the production departments and leads.
  • Manage and evaluate resources to maximize productivity with minimal downtime.
  • Oversee departments of 100+ employees in a fast-paced facility; coordination with broader teams (400+ overall).
  • Ensure efficient workflow of production lines.
  • Set ambitious warehouse and team goals with executive leadership.
  • Foster open communication and collaboration across associates.
  • Reduce overhead while increasing productivity across product lines.
  • Schedule staffing across departments to ensure optimal coverage.
  • Establish workflows that boost speed and efficiency without compromising quality, safety, or integrity.
  • Ensure adherence to industry-standard health and safety guidelines.
  • Identify problems and communicate obstacles to senior management while working toward resolution.
  • Perform other duties as assigned within scope.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of progressive production/warehouse leadership in processing/manufacturing environment.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience with ERP and materials management tools to optimize capacity planning, material movement, shop floor management, and reporting.
  • Hands-on leadership; willing to engage directly on the production floor.
  • Strong logistics experience is a plus.
  • Strong ability to blend business operations, quality, continuous improvement, process development, and program management.
  • Ability to establish and maintain trust with a wide range of stakeholders.
  • Ability to lead and mentor staff, with strong team-building and communication skills.
  • High professional ethics, good judgment, and timely decision-making.
  • Bilingual (English & Spanish) preferred.
