This role supports and collaborates with the Talent Buyer and Special Events Manager to coordinate technical, personnel, and financial aspects of production.
THE JOB
US Concerts is seeking a Production Coordinator responsible for ensuring the success and reconciliation of show and event productions by coordinating the technical, personnel, and financial aspects of the Production department while supporting and collaborating with the Talent Buyer and Special Events Manager with thorough and detailed preparation.
What This Role Will Do
- Ensure a positive and creative environment for the Production department and Venue
- Complete and distribute a daily show flash (P&L) for every event
- Understand deal structure and the settlement process
- Maintain department manuals and training materials for all production positions
- Train/assist and support production department personnel with job functions as needed
- Adhere to the budget and track the financial aspects of the department
- Create and maintain inventory and maintenance logs
- Ensure all procedures are cost effective
- Create daily/weekly show schedules and distribute them to Operations Managers in a timely manner
- Coordinate staffing with the Production Manager while maintaining labor costs within budget
- Maintain regular communications with the Production Manager and the GM
- Facilitate interdepartmental communication and organization
- Help manage stage, sound, and lighting crews
- Coordinate operational feedback with the Talent Buyer
- Advance technical and hospitality details for shows/events with the Production Manager
- Oversee maintenance of audio, lighting, backline, and video systems; advise on repairs when needed
- Ensure safe and consistent operation of all equipment
- Attend production and operations meetings as outlined by the GM
- Maintain a detailed filing system of past show files on the shared drive
- Maintain accurate vendor records following Purchase Ordering Systems
Required
- Calm, professional, and customer-service oriented
- Prior production experience in an entertainment venue
- Tour and stage production experience
- Understanding of stage lighting, pro audio systems, and video systems
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to make clear, concise decisions, sometimes with limited information
- Computer literacy in Windows applications (Excel and Word a must)
- Superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
Preferred
- College degree
Physical Demands/Working Environment
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
- Moderate to loud level or noise in the work environment
