Base pay range is provided; actual pay is based on skills and experience. Pay rates and scheduling are based on area assigned. This role involves rotating through production positions to support receiving, sorting, washing, drying, ironing and loading linens for delivery to hospitals and medical facilities.

$13.50/hr - $13.75/hr

Responsibilities

• Soil Operations — Safely sort returned soiled linen into appropriate classifications in preparation for washing; sort and prepare carts for the Clean Production side. Operate as part of a team to sort quickly and accurately; move empty carts as needed; ensure carts are cleaned, sterilized, dried and lined for clean linens to be built into carts for loading onto trucks.
• Clean Operations — Learn and rotate through equipment/positions in the Clean Production area, including Catcher, Hand Fold, Ironer, and related duties. Adhere to quality standards and safety requirements; perform other duties as assigned; be able to rotate between jobs as needed.
• Catcher — Secure linen carts, stack and build carts per standards, remove items from conveyors, and maintain quality and flow. If a jam occurs, maintenance or production managers handle jams.
• Hand Folder — Take items from washer/presser, hand fold, stack and place on carts or belts for transport; identify quality issues and separate non-Crown items as directed by supervisor.
• Ironer — Run linen through ironing process, feed linen into spreader and ironer, and coordinate with team to maintain safe handling. Decide when items require re-wash or maintenance and call maintenance as needed.
• Shipping Clerk — Prepare finished carts for shipment, load onto delivery trucks, weigh carts, and record weights in software; maintain records and track completed orders; may require Hep B vaccination.
• General duties — May fill in for other positions as needed; basic computer knowledge and willingness to learn new applications; strong recordkeeping and analytical skills.

Typical shift times noted as 5:00 am – 7:30 am or similar. Employees must be willing to move between all jobs via rotation as production needs require.

Qualifications & expectations

• High School Education or GED preferred
• Excellent teamwork skills required
• Ability to rotate between all production roles; willingness to adapt to area-specific duties
• Good recordkeeping and analytical skills
