Job Title: Production Planner – Electronics Manufacturing

Salary: $60,000 – $80,000 per year (based on experience)

We are looking for a Production Planner who will be responsible for coordinating job scheduling, material readiness, internal workflow, procurement activities, and communicating clearly with both internal teams and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Production Planning & Scheduling
  • Create and manage daily/weekly production schedules based on customer orders, forecasts, and material readiness
  • Convert demand into work orders, align resources, and prioritize jobs to meet delivery dates
  • Adjust production plans as needed due to material constraints, engineering changes, or capacity issues

Procurement & Material Coordination

  • Support purchasing activities by placing or coordinating purchase orders for missing components and materials
  • Follow up with suppliers to confirm deliveries, track backorders, and resolve delays or shortages
  • Work closely with the materials team to align MRP output with production readiness

Customer & Internal Communication

  • Serve as a communication bridge between sales, production, engineering, and supply chain
  • Coordinate updates with customers regarding build status, lead times, and delivery dates
  • Alert internal stakeholders of risks, issues, or changes to schedules proactively

ERP & Documentation Management

  • Utilize the ERP/MRP system to create, maintain, and monitor work orders, job travelers, and material requirements
  • Ensure accurate BOMs, routing, and inventory levels are reflected in the system
  • Maintain planning documentation and track metrics such as OTD, lead times, and job status

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years of production planning, materials coordination, or supply chain experience in electronics manufacturing (EMS preferred)
  • Must have strong attention to detail and ability to track multiple priorities with precision
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems (JobBOSS, NetSuite, Epicor, or similar)
  • Understanding of PCBA, wire harness, and box build processes
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for both internal teams and customer-facing updates
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and planning tools
  • Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Operations, Supply Chain, or related field preferred
  • Experience working in an AS9100D, ITAR, or regulated manufacturing environment
  • Familiarity with lean manufacturing principles and capacity planning
  • Exposure to forecasting, material demand planning (MDP), or multi-site scheduling
  • Ability to read and interpret BOMs and production drawing
  • On-site in our climate-controlled manufacturing facility in Lilburn, GA
  • Daily collaboration with production leads, engineering, purchasing, and customer service
  • Office-based role with regular engagement on the production floor to validate progress and resolve issues
  • Dynamic and fast-paced environment with shifting priorities and high visibility
