Job Details
- Location: San Francisco, CA 94115 – Pacific Heights, near Golden Gate Park and top dining destinations
- Healthcare Setting: Oncology Clinic
- Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse (RN)
- Contract Length: 24 weeks (Start: 10/27/2025 – End: 4/13/2026)
- Schedule: 5x8-hour day shifts, Monday–Friday (8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)
- Hours per Week: 40
- No weekends, no on-call; most holidays off
- Patient Population: Adults and geriatrics with hematology/oncology conditions
- Estimated Weekly Salary Range: $2250-$2410
Registered Nurse Qualifications
- Active California Registered Nurse (RN) license (required at time of application)
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification – AHA or ARC
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification – AHA or ARC
- Minimum 2 years of recent RN experience (oncology clinic or hematology/oncology experience preferred)
- Experience with Epic EMR system preferred
- Proficient in PIV insertions, peripheral blood draws, PICC dressing changes, and medication administration (oral, IM, subcutaneous, intradermal)
- Phlebotomy and port access skills preferred
- Ability to float to nearby San Francisco clinics as needed
- Two recent professional nursing references (within the past year)
Travel Oncology RN Responsibilities
- Administer medications and vaccinations to hematology and oncology patients
- Provide venous access and monitor patients prior to chemotherapy treatments
- Perform chemotherapy titration and support therapies
- Conduct peripheral IV insertions, blood draws, PICC line care, and port access procedures
- Educate and support patients and families regarding oncology treatment plans
- Collaborate with physicians, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, and social services
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using Epic EMR
- Ensure infection control and neutropenic precautions are followed
