ER RN Job Details – Worcester, MA

  • Location: Worcester, MA 01655 (Massachusetts healthcare jobs)
  • Facility: Level I Trauma Center Emergency Room
  • Position Type: Locum Tenens / Travel Nursing Contract
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks (Start: 11/12/2025 – End: 2/11/2026)
  • Shift: Night shifts, 3x12-hour (7:00 PM – 7:00 AM; flexible start times based on department needs)
  • Weekly Hours: 36
  • Orientation: 24 hours
  • Weekend & Holiday Coverage: Required (must work one major holiday during contract)
  • Estimated Weekly Pay: $2,360 – $2,420

ER Registered Nurse Qualifications

  • Active Massachusetts Registered Nurse (RN) license in hand
  • Minimum 1.5 years of recent Emergency Room nursing experience
  • Required certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, NIHSS, TNCC
  • Experience in Level I Trauma Center strongly preferred
  • Pediatric nursing experience highly preferred
  • EPIC charting experience preferred
  • Flu vaccine required (no exemptions)
  • Must pass Telemetry exam during orientation (minimum score: 80%)
  • Experience with psychiatric/behavioral health in emergency department setting strongly preferred

ER RN Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality emergency care to neonates, infants, children, adolescents, adults, and geriatric patients
  • Triage and manage patients in a fast-paced Level I Trauma Center environment
  • Interpret and manage cardiac dysrhythmias, ventilated patients, and behavioral health emergencies
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation using EPIC (preferred)
  • Participate in department scheduling, including weekends and holidays as required
  • Complete all required onboarding modules and orientation
