Job Description

Appleton Electric, a growing metal casting foundry in South Milwaukee, WI, is looking for an Industrial Electrician to join our 3rd shift team. There is flexibility with the hours. The rate of pay is $41.08/hour. This role involves working with plant equipment, distribution circuits and transformers, motors, starters, motor control centers, programmable logic controllers, computer-based controls, control panels, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and electrical control systems.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct all job duties with safety as a priority and in compliance with safety rules.
• Install conduit and wiring for power distribution, lighting, and machine or equipment controls.
• Build or modify control panels.
• Install communication wiring.
• Understand, install, and troubleshoot PLC ladder logic and HMIs.
• Maintain and troubleshoot industrial manufacturing equipment, including electrical and mechanical issues.
• Maintain and troubleshoot electrical starters, motors, relays, transformers, electronic controls, HVAC, generators, pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
• Maintain high voltage equipment.

Qualifications:

• Completed a State Indentured Industrial Electrician apprenticeship – Journeyman status.
• Strong electrical and mechanical abilities.
• Mechanically inclined with good problem-solving skills.
• Understanding of PCs, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Ability to operate and dismount forklifts, scissor lifts, and boom lifts.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Work with voltages up to 600V.

Benefits: Includes a $0.75/hour shift differential, overtime pay for hours over 8 hours/day, prorated two weeks’ vacation, and up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave.
