Lamination Associate - 3rd Shift at Atlas Molded Products, Byron Center, MI facility.

Atlas Molded Products is seeking a Lamination Associate - 3rd Shift for the Byron Center, MI facility. Lamination Associate Primary Responsibilities include shift start coordination, operating and supervising lamination and related equipment, and ensuring quality and safety standards are met.

Responsibilities

• Report to Manager at shift start for direction for the day.
• General understanding of manufacturing processes, quality standards, equipment operations, safety requirements and departmental procedures.
• Inspect and package parts according to specification pages and record required information on in-process sheets.
• Cut, bundle, wrap, stack, pack, assemble and/or label materials per specific production instructions.
• Operate or assist with machinery such as, but not limited to, the laminator, embosser, routers, and wrapping equipment.
• Verify equipment setup throughout the process; operate and power down manufacturing equipment.
• Maintain productivity standards and verify all job requirements of the final products with the correct density, material, weight, size, and shape within given quality tolerance to meet specific job requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area.
• Knowledge of and ability to operate Pre-breakers / Re-Grinding equipment to recycle EPS.
• Perform any other functions and responsibilities as assigned.
• Must be trained and familiar with general safety and Quality System Awareness.
• Must be verified by supervisor and be signed off on procedures needed to fulfill job requirements within 2 months of hire.
• Regular, reliable, and predictable attendance is required.

Qualifications

• Experience: Prior experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment is helpful.
• Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Problem solving and critical thinking desired; minimal problem solving and critical thinking required; fluent in English (written and spoken) preferred; able to use simple math and basic hand-held measuring tools.
• Education: High school diploma or GED preferred.
