Night Shift Hours: Typically from 2:00 PM - 12:00 Midnight

The Royal Group, an affiliate of Schwarz Partners, is seeking a night shift (temp to hire) Forklift Operator at our Lakeland, FL (Knights Station, Retail) facility. The position offers the opportunity for full-time employment after 60-90 days of successful performance. As a Forklift Operator, you will handle projects and execute assignments provided by the Warehouse Manager, assisting in warehouse operations.

The Royal Group’s mission is to provide value-added solutions to demanding customers.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

  • Follow directions from the floor lead or Supervisor to maintain proper procedures.
  • Move goods packed on pallets safely within the storage facility.
  • Stack goods correctly to prevent damage and report any product damage.
  • Perform daily equipment checks to ensure forklift safety and functionality.
  • Scan all materials to their proper locations.
  • Adhere to all safety rules and procedures of the company.

REQUIRED SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Read and understand simple instructions, memos, and correspondence in English.
  • Effectively communicate information in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Apply common sense to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Handle problems involving concrete variables in standardized situations.
  • Write simple correspondence.
  • Be an energetic, motivated, and dependable team player.
  • Interact positively with teammates and function professionally.
  • Knowledge of warehouse management systems.
  • At least one year of forklift experience with valid certification.
  • Ability to read and write English fluently.
  • Flexible to work early mornings or stay late as hours fluctuate.
  • Experience with corrugated materials is a plus but not required.
  • High school diploma or GED.
