The Forklift Operator/Material Handler position involves operating a forklift to stack, relocate, and move goods, supplies, and materials. The operator is responsible for the safe and efficient operation of various vehicles such as forklifts, boom lifts, scoop trucks, and others. Additionally, the role may require performing operator duties.

Your Experience and Qualifications

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) is required.
• 2 to 3 years of experience safely operating a forklift in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have a valid state-issued license to operate a motor vehicle.
• Picks up and delivers parts and materials between production lines, shipping/receiving, and the warehouse.

Other Skills and Abilities

• Strong analysis, problem-solving, process, and troubleshooting skills.
• Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Highly organized with good decision-making skills.
• Ability to complete forklift training, including written and driving tests, and obtain a forklift license.
• Must maintain a valid state-issued driver’s license.
