Forklift Operator - 2nd Shift (Alsip, Illinois)

Overview
A Forklift Operator is responsible for moving goods around warehouses using a sit-down forklift.

Your Role at Prestone

1. Loading, unloading, storing and relocating materials within the warehouse and facility.
2. Locating and moving stock for storage, shipment or production lines.
3. Inspect completed pallets for visual damage or product leaks.
4. Transporting raw materials to production workstations.
5. Inspect equipment to determine the need for repairs and ensuring safety.
6. Keeping updated records of inventory and activity logs.
7. Complying with company policies and legal guidelines.
8. Maintaining a safe and orderly environment in the facilities.

Required Skills

• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Good communication skills and ability to work with personnel at all levels.
• Ability to perform at a high level of safety standards and requirements.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one (1) year experience in manufacturing.
• Minimum of six (6) months sit-down forklift experience.

Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physically demanding tasks, including lifting and moving heavy objects.
