Overview

FORKLIFT DRIVER (1st shift) at TP Mechanical

Responsibilities

• Load, unload, pack, and unpack materials and pipe of all types and sizes.
• Label and sort incoming and outgoing shipments.
• Relocate items within the warehouse.
• Operate a forklift, winch, or other machinery used for transporting or shipping materials.
• Track inventory of incoming and outgoing items.
• Carefully handle and dispose of hazardous waste materials whenever necessary.
• Operate Raymond Reach, Dock Stocker, and Cherry Picker.
• Use RF scanner to pick orders.
• Replenish inventory.
• Provide consistent and detailed order picking / loading / staging.
• Process orders based on order timelines and instructions.
• Identify and source materials from appropriate locations, and utilize appropriate equipment to process orders.
• Provide proper maintenance of equipment and keep the work area clean and safe for customers and other employees.
• All other duties as assigned.

Qualifications And Experience

• Warehouse experience (preferred)
• Must have 1+ years of experience operating forklifts.
• Job Skills: Safety, Attention to detail, Loading and Unloading skills, Communication skills, Strong organizational skills, Inventory control

Education

• High School Diploma or GED Equivalent.

Physical Requirements

• Must be capable of lifting up to 70 lbs.
• Capable of climbing ladders and on/off equipment, etc.

Special Requirements

• Valid Driver’s License
• Rigging certification (preferred)
