Accountant Job at Chainlink Labs in Boston

Overview We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Accountant to manage the day-to-day accounting, reporting, and cash flow operations. This hands-on role will oversee monthly closes, reconciliations, bill payments, and both fiat and crypto transactions. The successful candidate will be a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced environment, continually improves processes, and strengthens governance and controls while maintaining a high standard of accuracy and discretion. Your Impact Monthly Reporting & Accounting Prepare accurate monthly P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports Maintain general ledger entries across multiple entities Reconcile bank, trust, and crypto accounts on a monthly basis Track and categorize inflows, outflows, and transfers Payment & Liquidity Manage bill payments, invoices, and reimbursements Ensure adequate liquidity across bank, trust, and crypto accounts Maintain organized supporting documentation for all transactions Tax Support Ensure books are tax-ready with proper categorization and documentation Work closely with internal tax team and external advisors to prepare filings for US Tax filings Stay current on filing deadlines and assist with extensions, estimates, and required payments Crypto & Financial Support Record and reconcile crypto activity in line with accounting standards Support execution of crypto transfers, including wallet management Prepare projections, forecasts, and cash flow planning Handle ad hoc financial requests from founders and executives Process Improvement & Governance Proactively identify inefficiencies and propose improved workflows Contribute to establishing accounting governance (documentation, approvals, controls) Implement best practices for reconciliations, reporting packages, and audit readiness Act as a resource for continuous improvement across family office operations Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field At least 3–5 years of professional accounting/bookkeeping experience Hands-on monthly close, reconciliations, and reporting Self-starter with bias toward action and ownership Strong process orientation, with proven ability to improve systems High integrity and discretion handling sensitive information Proficiency with Google Sheets and accounting software Attention to detail with excellent organizational skills Clear communicator Preferred Qualifications Exposure to crypto accounting or willingness to learn quickly Big 4 Experience Spanish speaker preferred All roles with Chainlink Labs are global and remote-based.
