As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol - Retail Site in San Antonio, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Retail/Malls. This is a part-time position. You will use our exclusive Claim a Shift platform to view and pick up open shifts based on your availability, giving you the freedom to build a schedule that works for you while gaining valuable site experience across industries. You will play a pivotal role in helping deter security-related incidents and promoting a welcoming atmosphere for all visitors and staff.

This role is armed; you will be equipped to address situations that require an elevated level of preparedness. The position also requires driving to cover various areas of the property. You will have the opportunity to interact with the public, providing customer service and clear communication. Position Type: Part Time

Pay Rate: $22.00 / Hour

Job Schedule: Daytime Thursday 2:45 PM – 11:30 PM, Friday 2:45 PM – 11:30 PM

What You’ll Do

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver a consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice for urgent needs

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security procedures and site-specific policies, responding appropriately to situations
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations calmly, following protocols for armed personnel
  • Conduct regular and random armed patrols to deter unwanted activity and unauthorized access
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and high-traffic areas, remaining alert to suspicious behavior
  • Support emergency response activities as required, coordinating with Allied Universal and local authorities
  • Complete detailed reports and documentation of security-related incidents and activities

Minimum Requirements

  • At least 3 years of combined law enforcement, military, or security-related experience, or a college degree
  • Be at least 21 years of age
  • Possess a valid driver's license and meet Allied Universal driver policy requirements for driving positions
  • Hold a Level III armed certification if required by Texas
  • CPR and first aid certification is preferred
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Background check as required by law
  • Drug screening as permitted by law
  • Licensing requirements subject to state/local laws and may be required prior to employment
  • A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only
