AECOM is seeking an experienced
EHS Project Manager/Consultant
to join our team. The EHS Project Manager/Consultant will be responsible for developing and maintaining client relationships for the EHS practice and managing complex environmental projects and programs. The successful candidate will have demonstrated experience managing clients, as well as the ability to utilize their environmental technical compliance experience to help our clients navigate their environmental compliance challenges. This hybrid position can be based out of AECOM's Cincinnati, OH, Chicago, IL or Detroit, MI offices. The selected candidate will join AECOM’s EHS + Air practice within the Environment Business Line. The primary emphasis of the group is to support clients with their EHS regulatory compliance needs for a variety of federal, municipal, and private-sector clients. This individual will work under the direction of the EHS Practice Lead in client project delivery, writing proposals, securing work and marketing AECOM’s services. Qualified candidates will have excellent analytical, writing, presentation and managerial skills, with a professional consulting background in EHS compliance and/or Environmental Due Diligence. Responsibilities
Managing environmental compliance and environmental due diligence projects. Developing and maintaining positive relationships with clients to enhance client retentions and growth. Leading project teams for environmental compliance and environmental due diligence work across North America. Supporting EHS business development efforts, including preparation of technical and cost proposals, to grow our environmental compliance and environmental due diligence work with existing and new clients. Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in environmental science, environmental engineering, geology or relevant environmental discipline. 6 years of relevant experience or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education of technical experience in managing environmental due diligence assessments, environmental multi-media environmental regulatory compliance (e.g., CWA, RCRA, CAA, etc.) and its application (i.e., developing SPCC/SWPPP plans, preparing NPDES stormwater and wastewater permits, conducting multi-media compliance audits and providing corrective actions, developing environmental compliance SOPs and programs, etc.). Valid U.S. driver's license is required for this role. Preferred Qualifications:
10+ years of technical experience in managing environmental due diligence assessments and environmental multi-media environmental regulatory compliance projects. Prior environmental consulting experience with either Federal or private-sector clients is highly desired. 5+ years of project/program management experience directly related to environmental due diligence, environmental compliance projects, from proposal development through completion for an environmental consulting firm (i.e., developing proposals/cost estimates, managing clients, projects, and project teams; coordinating resources and managing subcontractors; etc.). Ability to independently manage various environmental compliance and due diligence projects and programs ranging in size and scale. Experience in communicating and working with various regulatory agencies. Highly effective verbal and written communication skills; extremely proficient in technical writing; highly effective organization and multi-tasking skills. Ability to act independently on technical matters pertaining to environmental regulatory compliance and environmental due diligence. Ability to prioritize multiple demands, think strategically and successfully lead multiple simultaneous projects. Strong attention to detail with excellent analytical, judgment and problem-solving capabilities. Experience mentoring junior staff and leading project teams of environmental professionals. Ability to support business development efforts, including preparation of technical and cost proposals, to grow our environmental compliance and environmental due diligence work with existing and new clients. Professional certification (e.g., CHMM, PE, CEP) and/or PMP certification. Working understanding of federal contracting and sub-contracting practices and requirements. Additional Information:
Due to the nature of the work, US Citizenship is required. Offered compensation will be based on location and individual qualifications. The expected range is $90,000.00 - $130,000.00. About AECOM
