Job Description
As the Director I, Quality for Construction, this position will utilize specialized skills and knowledge to handle the challenges and complexities of the offices and project quality activities. With authoritative decision-making, this role’s recommendations will have a significant impact on regional and offices quality policies and programs. This role directs the work of assigned quality personnel.
This role has the responsibility to promote Fluor’s competitiveness within the global marketplace by delivering quality services of unmatched value and technical competence. This position serves as the Director I, Quality for Construction on assigned projects or performs moderately complex engineering assignments, evaluates, selects, and applies standard techniques to a broad set of complex assignments.
At Fluor, this role will be part of the Advanced Technology & Life Sciences Division and will be a part of a group of leaders excelling within some of the most complex projects. The project types include but are not limited to: Life Sciences, Food, Semiconductor, Advanced Manufacturing, as well as Data Centers, Lithium Processing and many more.
Oversee technical quality (i.e., adherence to client, regulatory agency, and company requirements), perform administrative functions (i.e., budgeting, forecasting, staffing, etc.), and help to maintain harmonious client relations
Communicate effectively with all labor grades, and contribute ideas that stimulate positive direction of business line personnel
Serve as project Quality Manager on large projects, if necessary
Serve as the office Quality Manager, if necessary
Facilitate the implementation of the Operating System Requirements (OSR) in offices for which responsibility is allocated
Serve as a Strategic Business Unit (SBU) or Global Functional Leader, if necessary

Basic Job Requirements
Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in applicable field of study and eighteen (18) years of work-related experience or a combination of education and directly related experience equal to twenty-two (22) years if non-degreed
Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other stakeholders
Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner
Other Job Requirements
EPC experience on medium to large size data center projects / mission critical facilities – with a specific focus on Quality Construction Management
Experience with managing the quality and Cx (commissioning) aspects of a data center
Preferred Qualifications
Auditor certification by outside agency (e.g., Registrar Accreditation Board (RAB), American Society for Quality (ASQ), International Quality Associates (IQA), or local equivalent, etc.) preferred
Professional engineering registration preferred
Internal Lead Auditor certification preferred
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills preferred
Excellent leadership and decision-making skills preferred

Market Rate Statement: The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
