Associate Director Non Invasive Cardiology at Banner Health, Phoenix, AZ. Primary department: Cardio Non-Invasive. Work Shift: Day. This is a full-time position with a flexible schedule option (5 8s or 4 10s, with day off flexibility as needed for leadership coverage, meetings, etc.). Responsibilities

Provide and/or facilitate patient flow for the departments and serve as a resource to employees for clinical and managerial support; assume responsibility for direct patient care as necessary. Lead change by developing, implementing and evaluating quality and process improvement initiatives of the department in conjunction with the director. Seek and utilize input from staff and physicians and oversee change implementation. Ensure compliance with appropriate regulatory agencies. Facilitate communication of system, regional, facility and department initiatives. Manage and develop the operational and capital budgets and use of associated resources. Assure the development of staff leadership through the design of effective shared leadership models and support career advancement opportunities. Function as a role model and encourage staff to participate in their own development. Serve as a resource to patients, families, physicians and staff in facilitating medical and nursing care through the utilization of appropriate resources. Interpret applicable policies and regulatory guidelines in clinical settings. Mentor staff to increase clinical and critical thinking and problem solving skills. Ensure safe and cost-effective care and attention to patient satisfaction and customer service. Act as a leader, resource and mentor to ensure patient care and operations are efficient, accurate and uninterrupted for the assigned departments. Determine how best to accomplish functions within established procedures. Maintain contacts with facility staff, patients and families, physicians and their office staff, regulatory agencies and community personnel. Position Summary

This position provides clinical leadership, and financial and personnel management for the Non-Invasive departments in Cardiac Services. Supervises employees, participates in selection, orientation, counseling and evaluation of staff. Participates in quality improvement processes and monitors patient outcomes in the departments. Minimum Qualifications

Requires a Bachelor’s Degree in related Health Care field or equivalent experience. BLS certification required. Five years of recent cardiac/pulmonary rehab and/or Non-Invasive CardioVascular Testing experience in a hospital setting, or a reasonable combination of education and experience. Previous supervisory experience. Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective communication and working relationships with staff, physicians, patients and their families. Preferred Qualifications

Master’s or RN with Bachelor’s degree. Previous experience in a hospital setting where diagnosis and interventional procedures are performed. ACLS certification. Additional Related Education And/or Experience
