Role Purpose The

Global Sourcing Manager

is the international operations leader of the Procurement Department and manages the international process development / implementation, strategy and alignment to the overall process and strategy implemented by the Procurement Department. The

Global Sourcing Manager

will focus heavily on process documentation, implementation and adherence to ensure local processes and procedures are in alignment with Department directives. Additionally, the

Global Sourcing Manager

will lead the effort to find and develop local sources of supply in each of the international office locations, while also leading global sourcing projects with a focus on supply base expansion, lead time reduction and cost savings.

Responsibilities

Document, drive and implement standardized Procurement processes for all HYTORC International offices to ensure alignment to HYTORC corporate Procurement Dept directives.

Promote a collaborative and accountable culture across all international offices.

Lead in supplier qualification, onboarding, and rationalization projects for the international offices.

Build and manage strong local and international supplier relationships, using data-driven negotiation tactics to meet quality and cost goals.

Issue RFQs, evaluate bids, and negotiate contracts that align with business strategy.

Serve as the primary contact to draft, review, negotiation and approve a variety of international contracts, contract amendments and contract extensions with the support of Contract Administration and Legal.

Lead and organize cross-functional teams (procurement, quality, finance, operations, sales) for supplier certification/qualification and to ensure continuous alignment with broader company objectives.

Support compliance with Quality audits, ISO standards, and environmental policies.

Drive YOY cost savings and value improvements within multiple product lines.

Analyze markets and supply trends to mitigate risk and anticipate price movements.

Prepare and present weekly Department KPI briefings to the Procurement Department Senior Manager.

Plan and allocate team resources to optimize the organizational structure of the team, in collaboration with the Procurement Department Senior Manager.

Continuously improve and grow Departmental KPIs to promote workload efficiency, strategy execution and risk mitigation, in collaboration with the Senior Manager.

Support Global Strategic planning and project execution.

Develop and implement a Global Sourcing strategy and workflow for HYTORC international locations.

Support Indirect Procurement projects within the department.

Regular travel to vendor/supplier production facilities to assess production capacity, mitigate risk and identify process improvements to control cost and ensure continuous supply.

Supervisory Responsibilities The

Global Sourcing Manager

must have experience in coaching and mentoring sourcing professionals and managing 2 or more direct reports.

Education/Experience Required

Post-secondary degree and/or an equivalent certification in supply chain, logistics or business.

In lieu of a post-secondary degree and/or an equivalent certification, 10+ years of relevant escalating career experience in supply chain, logistics or business.

7+ years of experience in a similar role; preferably in industrial engineering and manufacturing.

Mastery of standard procurement, inventory management and demand planning best practices and techniques.

Experience with building and developing new stakeholder relationships and functioning as a cross-functional POC.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Ability to multi-task in a high-volume fast-paced environment.

High proficiency in logistics methods and import/customs procedures.

Computer Skills Necessary

Experience with the entire Microsoft Office suite is required.

Experience with SAP and other ERP systems is considered an asset.

Other project management, MRP and analytics systems experience is preferred.

Physical Demands/Requirements

This role is a standard administrative office position; there are no lifting or standing requirements.

Work Environment

Standard office environment of moderate to low noise level.

The normal work environment is an office area, with occasional visits to the nearby warehouse area; periodic open/close of the overhead door can cause temperature variations and higher noise levels.

Travel approximately 5-10% of the time, some domestic and/or international supplier visits may be required.
