Overview
Manager, Product Regulatory Affairs role at ABB. Location: New Berlin, WI (hybrid work model). Position reports to: Portfolio Manager. Responsibilities
Oversee key regulatory focus areas for U.S. Low voltage drives and PLC controller. Organize quarterly information sessions on new developments. Serve as an influencer and voting member in UL, NEC, and NEMA standards groups. Monitor strategic CSA committees closely. Assist internal and external UL 508A certified panel shops. Provide guidance to internal and external customers on relevant standards and codes. Lead or participate in UL projects to ensure ABB products comply with standards changes. Monitor and understand complex regulatory and market drivers affecting product lines. Support product management and engineering departments with compliance-related inquiries. Influence business groups across the organization to integrate regulatory and certification requirements into both legacy and new product designs. Develop and present compliance-related webinars to internal and external audiences. Qualifications
Technical Master’s degree and 8+ years of experience in a complex business environment OR Technical Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in a complex business environment OR Technical Associate’s degree and 12+ years of experience in a complex business environment. Extensive experience in product and system-level engineering, compliance, and regulatory requirements for low voltage drive and control systems. Demonstrated success in cross-functional collaboration, stakeholder engagement, and strategic thinking. You are at ease communicating regulatory and certification requirements across the organization. Travel up to 15%. Candidates must already have work authorization to work for ABB in the US.
