Responsibilities
Oversee daily branch operations for multiple branches, including customer service, lending, product sales, and security, aligned with the bank’s objectives.
Provide coaching, mentoring, and professional development for the Branch Operations Manager and staff to build a high-performing team.
Recruit, hire, train, and evaluate employees; manage performance, set goals, and recommend compensation or promotion adjustments.
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, internal policies, and security procedures, including acting as the Primary Security Officer for the branch.
Act as a loan officer, processing and approving loans within established limits, while supporting branch loan and deposit production goals.
Resolve client requests and complaints promptly, counseling customers on financial needs and available services.
Support relationship development with customers through personal outreach, needs assessment, and tailored product recommendations.
Develop and implement strategies to expand deposits, loans, and fee income across consumer products.
Represent the bank in community organizations, networking functions, and civic events to expand visibility and attract new clients.
Partner with marketing to design and execute campaigns promoting consumer banking services.
Build strong relationships with prospective customers and centers of influence to generate new business opportunities.
Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to recommend enhancements.
Track, analyze, and report on growth results, providing actionable insights to leadership.
Manage branch financial performance, oversee expenses, and pursue cost-saving measures without compromising service.
Prepare regular management reports on branch activities, growth initiatives, and results.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or related experience and/or training. Approximately 4 years of work experience in branch management operations, lending, and supervisory roles.
Advanced experience in branch management and supervisory activities.
Advanced knowledge and training in financial statement and tax return preparation related to finance and credit analysis.
Advanced knowledge of banking compliance regulations, operations policies, and products/services.
Advanced experience in lending activities and terminology; intermediate sales and marketing experience.
Demonstrated ability to cross-sell and explain all bank products and services with confidence.
Strong reading, analytical, and interpretive skills for business materials and procedures.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills with the ability to lead, supervise, and train employees.
Knowledge of HR laws and policies; proficiency with computer applications, word processing, and spreadsheets.
Strong math skills and the ability to perform financial calculations and analysis.
Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Ability to manage complex problems and work with minimal supervision.
