Overview
Supply Planner role at Ferrara. This position supports the management of the supply and production planning for a production location at Ferrara Candy Company. The role works cross-functionally to understand demand, timing issues and capacity requirements impacting the everyday and seasonal portfolios, and collaborates with plant schedulers and other cross-functional areas to assure optimal service with minimal carryover inventory. In-person attendance (3 days or more per week) is essential for effective communication, supervision, real-time problem-solving, and participation in cross-functional initiatives. Responsibilities
Work with plant schedulers to assure service and proper inventory build quantities. Support the tracking and execution of SKU builds. Provide regular status updates to management in weekly meetings on adherence to the plan, root causes of delays, risks, and options/tradeoffs/recommendations to minimize impact. Collaborate with Brand Managers, Operations Business Managers, and Production Planners on product changes, issues, and roll-outs; develop plans to minimize obsolescence. Work across all Supply Chain functions and lead the resolution of issues as they arise. Ensure adherence to company policies and procedures. Demonstrate the Company\'s core values. Perform other duties as assigned. Some travel may be required, potentially internationally (Canada and/or Mexico). Skills
Strong mathematical, analytical and problem-solving skills. Strong verbal, written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills. Understanding of production capacities, constraints and cost/service trade-offs. Demonstrated team leadership skills, with the ability to identify and resolve issues/opportunities. Detail-oriented, self-starter, and capable of producing high-quality results on a sustainable basis. Strong computer skills, including MS Excel and PowerPoint; ability to manage complex data sets. Strong understanding of SAP software (including R3, S4, APO, and IBP) and Business Objects. Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Experiences
BA/BS in a quantitative field preferred (e.g., Supply Chain, Procurement, Engineering, Statistics, Operations Management, Economics, Business, Logistics). 3+ years of experience in Demand Planning, Supply Planning, Operations Management, or related roles. Familiarity with SAP software and Business Warehouse/Business Intelligence systems preferred. Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish preferred. What We Offer
