Senior Buyer role at CNH Industrial America LLC in Oak Brook, IL. The Senior Buyer will own the strategy and purchase of high-complexity production parts for 10 North American manufacturing plants, lead commodity strategy, manage negotiations, and drive cost reductions and supplier performance. Own the strategy and purchase of high-complexity production parts for 10 North American manufacturing plants; set strategic direction for the assigned chemical commodity; manage negotiations; help achieve the budget and sourcing targets; close campaigns and meet rationalization targets; forecast and report economic savings performance; drive price reductions; develop long-term agreements; conduct market tests; award new business to maximize leverage; analyze reports to identify cost-reduction opportunities; support special projects to deliver commodity goals; focus on commodity strategy, benchmarking, Sourcing Council preparations, technical cost reductions, warranty agreements, supplier financial distress management, and coordination with global teams and supplier capacity management. Lead and support global sourcing projects by working with the global commodity team (EMEA, LATAM, APAC); support new product launch initiatives by developing and implementing cost reduction and sourcing strategies for new platforms to meet program timing, cost, quality, delivery, and strategic objectives; develop and implement supply base management strategies regionally and globally to achieve lowest total cost in terms of quality, lead time, delivery, service and unit cost; drive supplier selection and negotiate and maintain supplier performance; negotiate, implement and manage LTAs to achieve commercial savings and raw material recovery and to support the organization. Facilitate supplier/engineering VA/VE (Value Analysis and Value Engineering) activities to drive product cost savings and process improvement initiatives; provide leadership and market insight into the commodity market, including industry trends, cost drivers, global pricing, lead-times, technology, and manufacturing capability of company suppliers and the market. Telecommuting permitted up to 3 days per week; travel required 4-5 trips per year domestically visiting suppliers and plants. Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Master’s degree in Engineering Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field, plus 1 year of experience as a Buyer, Purchasing Specialist, or related occupation. The 1 year of experience must include: 1) experience in the agricultural or construction equipment industry; 2) analyzing reports to identify cost reduction opportunities; 3) conducting market tests and forecasting economic savings performance; 4) coordinating with global teams and supplier capacity management; 5) negotiating price reductions and increases; 6) negotiating, implementing and managing LTAs; 7) facilitating supplier and engineering VA/VE activities; 8) tracking, monitoring, and executing hedges.
