VP, Media Director – Social at MRM New York. Lead our social media practice with a strategic, forward-thinking approach across multiple platforms, overseeing social strategy, paid social planning, execution, and innovation for a portfolio of top-tier clients. Responsibilities
Lead the development and execution of integrated, performance-focused social media strategies across Meta, TikTok, YouTube, LinkedIn, X, Snapchat, Pinterest, and emerging platforms Serve as a senior-level advisor to clients, providing strategic counsel on social trends, platform innovation, and paid media investment Oversee day-to-day paid social planning and buying, ensuring excellence in execution and alignment with campaign goals Guide cross-platform content strategy in partnership with creative and influencer teams to ensure native, engaging social storytelling Manage and mentor a team of social strategists, planners, and buyers, fostering growth, collaboration, and innovation Own relationships with social platform partners and ensure MRM is on the forefront of beta opportunities, tools, and creative formats Analyze campaign performance and provide actionable insights, optimization strategies, and clear reporting to clients Drive internal education and thought leadership around social media innovation, trends, and platform developments Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Creative, Strategy, Analytics, and Tech) to deliver fully integrated social campaigns What We Are Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Media, or related field (advanced degree a plus) 10+ years of experience in media or digital marketing with deep expertise in social media strategy and paid social execution Demonstrated success leading multi-platform social campaigns for large-scale brands Strong understanding of platform algorithms, audience targeting, paid formats, and creative best practices across key social channels Proven leadership and team management experience; able to inspire, guide, and grow social teams Excellent communication and presentation skills; confident in senior client interactions and internal stakeholder alignment Proficiency in tools such as Meta Ads Manager, TikTok Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, Google Analytics, and social listening/measurement platforms Analytical thinker with a data-first mindset and the ability to connect social metrics to business outcomes Highly collaborative, culturally aware, and passionate about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible in social media About MRM
