SDOT is renewing our search for a Project Controls Supervisor, under a refined classification and organizational structure, as a Strategic Advisor 2 on our Project Management and Controls Team in our Capital Projects Division. This role is perfect for a people-leader skilled in capital project controls methodologies and software, and committed to a culture of transparency, accountability, and advancing data-driven project management practice. Job Responsibilities: Supports and enhances the ongoing use of the PPM software and other project controls tools. Leads expansion of PPM and other project controls tools for use in Capital Projects and other divisions. Leads a group of Project Controls Analysts to provide project controls services alongside Project Managers. Supervises Project Controls team of 6 staff, including providing direction, fostering accountability, and collaboration. Acts as a liaison with Finance Analysts on funding and spend plans for SDOT’s capital projects. Leads and supports the development of dashboards and reports using a variety of data sources and software. Supports department goals in promoting diversity and social justice. Qualifications: Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Architecture, Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, Business, or related field. Experience: Three (3) years of experience working with portfolio and/or project controls on large and complex capital projects. Preferred Qualifications: Proficiency in MS Power BI, MS Excel, Tableau, Clarity PPM, and MS Word. Three (3) years of experience working with transportation infrastructure capital project management or closely related civil engineering field. Three (3) years of supervisory experience that includes the assignment of employee work, employee evaluation, and performance management. Effective communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation capabilities to a wide range of audiences. The City of Seattle values diverse perspectives and life experiences.
