Job Summary: Assist Senior Director with day-to-day management of office, grants, trainings, screenings, and general office management. Provide administrative management to SAAVE office including compiling, recording and analyzing data for grant applications, grant reporting and management meetings. Supervision of in house advocacy staff members including scheduling, training, data reporting, office coverage, and client follow-up. Responsibilities include providing crisis intervention counseling, accompaniment, advocacy, information, and referral services to survivors of sexual assault and domestic violence and secondary survivors. Accompany survivors to the hospital, police, district attorney's office and court. Represent SAAVE in community in meetings, and teleconference calls. Direct Services Support: Accompanies Sexual Assault, Domestic Violence, Intimate Partner Violence victims/clients to medical/forensic exams, court, police stations, and other appointments as needed. Provides information, referrals, practical assistance, and crisis intervention to victims. Conducts screenings in hospital for various types of victimology. Programmatic and Administrative Support: Maintains and monitors computerized data for accurate and timely grant management and reporting. Maintains thorough, accurate and timely case records and statistics. Drafts timely grant reports. Qualifications/Requirements: Experience: Professional experience sufficient in scope, depth, and performance may serve in place of academic requirements. Education: Bachelor's degree preferred. Licenses / Certifications: Certification as SAAVE Rape Crisis Advocate required, pre-certification and annual training required. Requirements also include knowledge of victim-centered and trauma informed care, crisis intervention techniques and case management responsibilities; human behavior and needs at time of crime and crisis; behavioral health, social services, and other community resources; the criminal justice system, NY State Criminal Code and Rights of Victims, police department operations, policies and procedures.
