BEH HEALTH COUNSELOR 3 HX
University of California, San Francisco, California, United States, 94199
Job Summary
The Team Lily Mental Health Clinician is a direct-service role providing low-barrier psychotherapy, designed to meet the unique needs of Team Lily patients. While Team Lily patients often initially require stabilization including access to housing and substance use treatment when they first enter Team Lily care, many patients then are ready to access mental health services. This position will fill that need, by providing mental health services to Team Lily patients during pregnancy and the extended postpartum period (1 year postpartum) and potentially beyond, as patients continue on in primary care. These services include providing clinical assessments, brief trauma-informed interventions, infant-parent psychotherapy, and individual psychotherapy. The Team Lily Mental Health Clinician will collaborate closely with the Team Lily social workers, navigators, psychiatrists, pregnancy providers, and primary care providers.
Team Lily was founded at San Francisco General in 2018 with the goal to support pregnant and postpartum people affected by homelessness, substance use, significant mental illness, intimate partner violence, and other significant barriers to traditional perinatal care. Team Lily is a multidisciplinary team comprised of pregnancy providers, social workers, navigators, and mental health providers, who provide low-barrier services to support the health and parenting goals of patients.
