This EHS Engineer 2 will be responsible for managing EHS operations and programs at AMD's Secaucus offices and other locations on the east coast. The role involves ensuring compliance with environmental, health, and safety laws, regulations, and company policies. The engineer will collaborate with regional, global, and site teams to maintain a safe and healthy work environment, lead initiatives, and achieve industry-leading performance. Key Responsibilities
Manage all aspects of EHS programs in compliance with local regulations and corporate policies. Conduct and coordinate EHS inspections, assessments, and audits. Lead incident investigations and develop corrective actions. Manage waste and oversee vendor audits. Provide EHS training and support to employees. Organize evacuation drills. Analyze EHS metrics and recommend improvements. Conduct site risk assessments. Collaborate with operations to identify safety improvements. Stay updated on EHS regulations and best practices. Manage chemical inventories and update Safety Data Sheets. Maintain records according to internal standards. Support global EHS initiatives and compliance efforts. Qualifications
Minimum of 5 years in EHS operations. Strong knowledge of EHS regulations in New Jersey and the US. Experience in audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations. Ability to analyze complex situations and solve problems independently. Proficiency in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Education
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental, Safety, Industrial Hygiene, Engineering, or related fields.
