Base pay range $22.00/hr - $26.00/hr

Waialae Country Club is a private membership club, which provides its members with a championship golf course, dining services, health/recreational facilities, and hosts the PGA Tour\'s Sony Open in Hawaii. Waialae Country Club is recognized as a Platinum Club of America, Honorable Mention Platinum Club of the World, and is designated as a Distinguished Club with ELITE status by BoardRoom Magazine.

Position Assistant Golf Professional

Status Full-Time (30+ hours per week)

Department Golf Pro Shop

Reports to First Assistant Golf Professional

Key Responsibilities

Provides excellent service by engaging with members/guests and ensuring their needs are met.

Assists members at the counter and over the phone with inquiries and booking tee times.

Operates point of sale system and receives and processes payments.

Advises members/guests about attire and playing privileges of the various membership classifications.

Assists Head Golf Professional and First Assistant Professional with successfully running Club tournaments; recruits tournament participants.

Raises flags each morning.

Maintains records for lost/found clubs.

Maintains the water and coffee service area.

Serves as backup to First Assistant Professional. Assists Retail when needed.

Requirements

6 months - 1 year related experience. Previous experience at a private membership club preferred.

Ability to perform general administrative duties including filing, taking messages, and data entry.

Ability to use Word, Excel, email, USGA GHIN software, and tee sheet/GPS software.

Must have an unexpired Driver\'s License.

Registered member of PGA/LPGA (or actively working towards membership).

Must be able to drive a golf cart and lift up to 40 pounds.

Must be a team player with a positive attitude.

Must be available to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
