This full-time, 12-month position involves supporting students academically and behaviorally in various settings, including special education classrooms and virtually. The role offers a competitive hourly rate of $20.00 - $24.00, with additional pay for 60 days of school break, resulting in a higher annualized salary compared to district peers. Responsibilities include:
Assisting with academic and behavioral support for students in small groups or one-on-one, both in-person and online. Implementing behavior intervention plans and supporting positive social interactions. Providing emotional support, modeling appropriate behavior, and assisting with physical needs when necessary. Supporting students during field trips, assessments, and school events. Maintaining student records and classroom safety, and participating in meetings and professional development activities. Qualifications:
Experience working with students with diverse needs preferred. High school diploma or equivalent; or A.A. or B.A. degree; or passing the ETS ParaPro or CBEST exams. Knowledge of Google Suite and instructional technology; bilingual skills are a plus. Physical and mental demands include navigating school environments, managing stress, and maintaining confidentiality.
