Overview

Vice President of Operations and Support Services – Academic, will set financial, long-range, operational and leadership direction for responsible departments in conjunction with the Presidents of BJH, SLCH and BJCWC. Oversight includes Environmental Services, Emergency Preparedness, Public Safety and Food & Nutrition across all hospitals and related sites (BJH, SLCH, BJCWC, plus related ambulatory sites). Dotted line responsibilities for Facility Services and PD&C at SLCH. The role participates in senior leadership meetings with dual reporting to the Chief Operating Officer at BJH and the Presidents of BJH and SLCH. Campus / Sites Managed

Develops and executes departmental strategies; guides transformations to meet financial, service, leadership, regulatory and community objectives. Selects, directs and develops leadership and staff; represents the department to external authorities and constituencies. Participates in BJH and SLCH senior leader meetings and teams. Manages personnel processes including onboarding, hiring, training, workload management, performance evaluations and professional development. Develops and adheres to departmental staffing and budgets (revenue and/or expense); responds to changes affecting budget goals. Maintains a strong financial orientation; anticipates changes in economic, healthcare and regulatory environments; aligns financial, service, community and leadership development goals. Creates breakthrough strategies and plans, balancing fiscally responsible growth with commitments to communities served and regulatory obligations. Plans and executes across responsibilities; allocates resources for optimum efficiency and effectiveness; maintains quality, standards and results. Minimum Requirements
