Position Summary Viewed as the technical engineer or subject matter expert for the organization in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes in power systems modeling and analysis and/or transmission planning. Contributes to the development of new principles and concepts. Problems are complex and require unconventional or innovative approaches and sophisticated research techniques. Responsible for major projects or several complex projects of moderate to large scope. Serves as an organization spokesperson on advanced projects and/or programs. Advises management and customers on advanced technical research studies and applications. Maintains contacts with individuals and units within and outside the corporation for action on technical matters. Works under consultative direction toward broad general goals and objectives. Assignments are often self-initiated. Communicates results through various formats including in-person meetings, virtual discussions, presentations to leadership, and written reports. Essential Responsibilities

Directs and runs power system studies; leads multiple complex projects simultaneously. Develops scopes for complex studies to guide long-range transmission system plans and coordinates with other Integrated System Planning departments. Work is self-directed and has wide-ranging implications for the business. Acts as a spokesperson within the Integrated System Planning group. Advises management and helps with workflow management within the department. Serves as an established SME for modeling and analysis processes, procedures, and standards compliance; contributes to integrated modeling across generation/transmission boundaries. Supports transmission planning and provides testimony in state regulatory processes and strategic direction for transmission system plans. Salary Levels Principal Engineer (Salary Range: $109,300-$152,766); Senior Engineer Level (Salary Range: $94,600-$126,134) Minimum Requirements

Principal Engineer Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or Physics from ABET-accredited curriculum (electrical engineering preferred) or recognized equivalency 9+ years of demonstrated experience with PE registration; 15+ years without PE Experience with multiple power system transmission analysis tools (PSSE, TARA, EMS, ASPEN, CAPE, PROMOD, PLEXOS, PowerWorld, PSCAD, or similar) EIT/FE preferred; PE registration preferred Graduate degree preferred Senior Engineer Bachelor’s degree in engineering and/or Physics from ABET-accredited curriculum (electrical engineering preferred) or recognized equivalency 5+ years with nationally recognized certification or 7+ years without certification Experience with multiple power system transmission analysis tools (PSSE, TARA, EMS, ASPEN, CAPE, PROMOD, PLEXOS, PowerWorld, PSCAD, or similar) EIT/FE preferred; PE registration preferred Graduate degree preferred Preferred Requirements

Anticipated starting base pay: $94,600 to $152,766 per year.
