Intelligent Fire Systems Solutions Inc. is seeking an experienced and proactive Safety Manager to lead our safety and compliance efforts across multiple construction and service sites. This role is responsible for building a culture of accountability, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting both union and non-union teams through safety best practices and training. Key Responsibilities Regulatory Compliance & Safety Policy
Develop and implement OSHA-compliant safety policies.
Monitor and update safety protocols based on changing regulations.
Prepare documentation for audits, inspections, and insurance reviews.
Field Safety Oversight
Conduct on-site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety audits.
Ensure proper use of PPE, safe equipment handling, and policy compliance.
Lead incident investigations and document corrective actions.
Union & Non-Union Workforce Support
Enforce safety compliance in accordance with collective bargaining agreements.
Coordinate with union reps and supervisors to resolve field safety concerns.
Understand and manage union-specific training and documentation requirements.
Training & Employee Development
Deliver safety orientation for new hires and ongoing training for crews.
Track and maintain all certifications (fall protection, hot work, LOTO, etc.).
Program & Risk Management
Maintain OSHA 300 logs, incident records, and KPI reports.
Lead safety initiatives including Safety Week and toolbox talks.
Assist in risk assessments and return-to-work programs.
Administrative & Travel Duties
Travel to job sites and company facilities regularly.
Perform additional safety-related duties as required.
Qualifications 10+ years of safety management experience in construction or fire protection.
Proven experience working with union labor required.
OSHA 500 certification (or equivalent safety credentials) required.
Effective communication and conflict-resolution skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
High attention to detail and documentation.
Valid driver\'s license; ability to travel regularly to multi-state project sites.
High school diploma or GED required; Bachelor\'s degree preferred.
