The School of Healthcare Business and Technology seeks an adjunct faculty member to deliver high-quality learning experiences and education for students in the Bachelor of Science in Healthcare Management program. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate students in the classroom. Subject matter includes healthcare quality improvement, operations management, and others related to healthcare management.

This position requires teaching in-person on the Boston campus .

Delivers didactic instruction in healthcare operations management or quality improvement in person to students in the BS In Healthcare Management program on the Boston Campus; Collaborates with the Program Director to ensure the course content delivered is aligned with program learning outcomes, required contact hours, and grading and feedback is timely, effective, and appropriate; Provides students with an approved syllabus with learning outcomes and a teaching and assessment methodology aligned with the BS program; Observes syllabus requirements, including required contact hours, and provides timely grading and feedback to students; Identifies texts and associated readings and provides engaging assignments, deliverables, timelines, and evaluation criteria consistent with the syllabus and in collaboration with the Program Director; Utilizes the University’s learning management system (Blackboard) to support the classroom experience, communicate with students, and post the syllabus, assignments, and student grades accordingly; Advises and assists students through office hours or scheduled appointments, videoconferencing, phone, or email, and Communicates student engagement or support needs and apprises the Program Director of student issues or concerns.

Required Education And/or Work Experience

Graduate degree in healthcare administration, business administration, public health, or a related field with Minimum of three (3) years of work experience in healthcare management or a related field Minimum of three (3) years of teaching experience at the college/university level with a demonstrated commitment to student engagement and success Ability to work independently and effectively interact with a wide array of parties at all levels (students, faculty, administration/staff, alumni, and external constituents, including healthcare industry professionals) Experience in healthcare quality improvement, project management, or operations Professional certification in Quality Improvement or relevant certification
