Performs multiple-step cleaning procedures in patient areas, offices, public areas, and other non-patient areas. Maintains daily cleaning, equipment cleaning, and project cleaning in assigned areas. Follows up on incomplete assignments and maintenance issues from the prior shift. Performs dry and wet mopping of common areas using appropriate equipment, including floor care machines. Conducts floor and carpet care such as bonneting and extraction. Responds to stat orders such as discharges, spills, floods, and hospital-wide emergencies. Cleans up organic waste and assists in moves, special set-ups, and other duties as needed. Collects and disposes of solid and contaminated waste. Seals and transports waste to designated areas and the compactor area as required. Uses department procedures to select cleaning solutions. Reports low inventory to supervisor, signs equipment in/out, keeps housekeeping carts clean and stocked, and reports equipment malfunctions. Required Qualifications

Some High School required. 0-1 years related work experience required. Basic familiarity with computers and ability to navigate basic web-based applications. Competencies

Customer Service: Maintains a positive attitude and responds to requests in a timely and respectful manner. Physical Nature of the Job

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally and/or up to 20 pounds frequently. The job requires standing and moving around for most of the shift.
