Duties And Responsibilities
Assists the direct leader with developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results Establishes and communicates job responsibilities and performance expectations to direct reports Identifies training and development opportunities for direct reports to enhance performance Understands and models company core values to foster teamwork Monitors the competitive environment and informs adjustments to maintain competitive position Provides product feedback and recommendations on items to carry or discontinue Participates in interviewing for store personnel Communicates information including weekly updates and milestones Ensures adherence to inventory procedures, product handling, and cash control policies Resolves operational customer concerns in leaderships absence Identifies and rectifies hazards, maintains proper ergonomics and equipment function Maintains store cleanliness and signage Assists with maintaining stock levels through ordering Merchandises products to maximize sales Ensures product quality, freshness, and accurate signage Assists with payroll, budget, inventory counts, and training Supervises day-to-day team operations and escalates issues appropriately Ensures direct reports complete responsibilities timely and with high customer service standards Follows company policies and safeguards documentation and data Physical Demands
Stocking merchandise from receiving to shelving; lifting up to 45 pounds Regularly sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk Job Qualifications
Must be 18 years of age or older Ability to work independently and in a team Ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service and lead others Ability to develop rapport and open communication with direct reports Ability to interpret and apply company policies and procedures Ability to set goals and guide performance Ability to evaluate and drive performance of self and others Ability to understand budgeting, personnel costs, and expenses Ability to operate a cash register Ability to safely operate equipment and perform cleaning to company standards Excellent verbal and written communication skills Organizational and multi-tasking abilities with attention to detail Meets state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages Education And Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent preferred Minimum of 3 years of progressive experience in a retail environment Combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge Prior management experience preferred Benefits
