Location:
165 Turk St and 249 Eddy St, San Francisco, CA 94102
Schedule:
Monday - Friday 9:00 am - 5:30 pm; 100% Onsite
Summary The Maintenance III is responsible for responding to daily maintenance requirements, overall upkeep of TNDC buildings and facilities, and staff supervision, under the supervision of the General Manager or Senior General Manager.
Essential Duties
Hire, supervise, and manage maintenance and custodial staff, including evaluations and recommendations.
Respond to work orders and maintenance requests, including plumbing, carpentry, and electrical repairs.
Paint and patch walls, perform sheetrock repairs.
Report unusual activities, keep supervisor informed, and provide courteous service.
Conduct safety-compliant work, inspect units, and perform preventive maintenance.
Respond to emergencies on after-hours schedule and perform other duties as assigned.
Required Skills

Maturity, honesty, dependability, initiative, and follow-through.
Proficiency in English communication, problem-solving, and interpersonal skills.
Physical Requirements
Perform medium to heavy work, lift up to 75 pounds, and climb ladders and stairs.
Operate hand and power tools, move objects, differentiate colors, and drive vehicles.
Visual and hearing acuity for inspections and communication.
Mathematical and Reasoning Abilities
Basic math skills, judgment, and application of common sense.
Effective communication and adaptability to policy changes.
Environmental Adaptability
Work in various environments, including outdoor and hot/cold conditions.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications
Six months of residential housing maintenance experience.
At least 1 year of supervisory experience, with 2+ years preferred.
Knowledge of Microsoft Office and building trades experience.
Ability to lift 75 pounds, operate tools, and work independently.
TCAC experience required.
Preferred Qualifications
Trade school certification, additional training, or related experience.
Knowledge of affordable housing programs, property management software, and conflict resolution.
Specialized certifications (e.g., HVAC, fire safety, lead paint).
Proficiency in additional languages and a valid California driver’s license.
