Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position is 121,100 - 164,350. This salary is a general guideline. Sawdey Solution Services considers factors such as responsibilities, experience, education, training, and skills when extending an offer.
About the Role: Support Joint All Domain Command and Control (JADC2) and Advanced Battle Management Systems (ABMS) experimentation efforts.
Responsibilities
Coordinate SpOC support to JADC2 and/or ABMS-related exercises, experiments, assessments, war-games, and demonstrations to improve awareness of innovation capabilities through application in DoD use cases or event scenarios. Activities include: recommending space-related goals/objectives; developing space scenarios and space mission threads; identifying required space forces and capabilities; participating in event planning meetings; coordinating participation of space forces and capabilities; providing space SME support to planning discussions and/or event execution; participating in events as surrogate space operator; collecting, analyzing, and assessing space-related observations and lessons learned; documenting performance in an all-domain environment; identifying gaps and shortfalls; analyzing progress and making recommendations; and providing recommendations for space capabilities and technologies to close JADC2/ABMS gaps.
Coordinate SpOC activities with other space stakeholders including STARCOM, SSC, USSPACECOM, Combatant Command Space Components, and HQ USSF staff. Lead or support space planning activities as required; solicit and coordinate support from external and subordinate space elements as needed.
Analyze, determine, and coordinate the command and control and data-sharing pathways for participating agencies, focusing on machine-to-machine connections where possible.
Document plans, inputs, activities, recommendations, and out-briefs in artifacts such as briefings, papers, activity reports and weekly updates, as requested by the government.
Perform other duties, as assigned.
Experience & Education
Ten (10) years of space experience with four (4) years of space operational-/strategic-level C2 experience and three (3) years of requirements experience, including demonstrated proficiency in NSDC and JSpOC operations, requirements development/CBA/AoA processes, JCIDS process and related interdependencies.
Proficiency in applying emerging concepts to system development; knowledge of Spacepower Disciplines and program requirements (Orbital Warfare, Space Electromagnetic Warfare, Space Battle Management, Space Access and Sustainment, Military Intelligence, Engineering and Acquisition, Cyber Operations); knowledge of Space Domain Awareness CONOPS/ICD/CDD/CPD/KPPs/KSA/NR-KPP; knowledge of C2 structures and space operations concepts; MBSE and related development processes.
Bachelor's Degree required; Master’s Degree desired.
Effective communication with customers and ability to fulfill duties.
