We are seeking an experienced
Highway Project Engineer

Key Responsibilities
Work with a team of multidisciplinary engineers.
Lead the development of transportation project plans for public infrastructure projects.
Manage and mentor staff while serving as a task lead.
Assemble a complete design package or assigned portions of a larger project.
Perform quality control reviews.
Attend and lead meetings with public and/or private clients.
Represent MJ at industry and professional society events.
Qualifications
Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering.
PE Required.
5-10 years of progressive roadway engineering analysis and design experience.
Project experience with CTDOT or other New England State DOTs required; municipal experience a plus.
Multi-modal and Complete Streets design experience a plus.
Proficient with Microsoft Office 365 (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Proficient in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Bentley OpenRoads Designer.
Business Development experience preferred.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills; public presentation experience preferred.
Experience with proposal writing, scope of work development, and budgeting.
Excellent organization and attention to detail.
Ability to participate effectively as part of a project team, develop and maintain client relations, and meet project demands and schedules.
