Overview
Senior Accountant, External Financial Reporting role at SkyWater Search Partners. SkyWater is partnering with a Twin Cities based organization to identify a Senior Accountant to join their financial reporting team. The Senior Accountant will be a trusted partner in shaping clear, accurate, and insightful financial reporting that supports decision-making at every level. In this position, you’ll drive month-end close, oversee reconciliations, strengthen controls, and deliver reports that stand up to the highest standards of compliance. Responsibilities
Complete month-end financial close activities, including preparing and posting journal entries, conducting analytical reviews, and performing research. Identify and implement opportunities to streamline financial close processes. Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and supporting documentation. Assist in developing enhanced reporting and analysis to strengthen reconciliation and accounting activities. Prepare financial reports in compliance with GAAP and maintain well-documented audit trails. Create schedules and analysis packages to support financial statement reviews. Perform technical accounting research and assist with the adoption of new standards. Document and review process flows for key accounting transactions to assess financial impact. Monitor and execute internal controls, ensuring compliance with established policies. Collaborate with external auditors during interim and year-end audit activities. Conduct ad hoc analysis and support special projects as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting and/or Finance required. CPA designation preferred. Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, including financial reporting, consolidations, technical accounting, and audit support. Public accounting experience preferred. Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities. Demonstrated success working with diverse teams and building cross-functional relationships. Employment details
