Overview
Manager, Planning & Analysis (ALM Finance) (Hybrid) – Prudential Financial. The Asset Liability Management Finance (ALM Finance) team is seeking a results-oriented, accountable candidate with strong leadership abilities for a Manager role within the Planning & Analysis team. This group also has controllership responsibilities. ALM Finance’s Planning & Analysis team is primarily responsible for internal management reporting of the domestic general account investment results. The role is hybrid and requires on-site presence on a recurring basis as determined by the business; your manager will provide specifics on the number of on-site days.
Responsibilities
Lead quarterly investment forecast and analyze actual vs. forecast results; present analysis to key constituents including Business Unit Finance teams, the CIO organization and Senior Management. Focus areas include drivers of invested asset balances and investment income (e.g., changes in market rates/spreads, cash flows, changes in portfolio asset mix, use of derivative instruments).
Maintain a strong control environment to ensure timely and accurate reporting, and prepare insightful analyses that clearly convey the underlying story to stakeholders.
Partner with CIO portfolio management teams to enhance knowledge of investment portfolio activities and strategy; develop analytic models; and prepare ad hoc analyses for senior management.
Qualifications
Undergraduate (or Master’s) degree in accounting or finance.
Strong financial analysis, reporting and accounting background (5+ years’ experience).
Solid understanding of investment securities and related accounting.
Reliable and accountable with ability to work under tight time constraints.
Effective collaborator and team player; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred
CPA or CFA designation preferred; MBA also a plus.
STAT accounting experience a plus.
Power BI skills a plus.

Salary range: $118,700.00 – $176,600.00; actual compensation may vary based on location, experience and skills.
