The Corporate Development Analyst plays a pivotal role in identifying, evaluating, and executing strategic initiatives such as mergers and acquisitions, partnerships, investments, divestitures, and other corporate transaction opportunities. This role requires strong analytical skills, strategic thinking, and the ability to work cross-functionally with internal and external stakeholders. What you’ll do
Supporting end-to-end acquisition process by contributing to evaluation materials, financial models, due diligence, integration planning, and post-close integration process management Building and maintaining complex financial models supporting the evaluation of potential acquisition targets, including discounted cash flow analysis, precedent transactions, synergy analysis, sensitivity analysis, scenario analysis, accretion/dilution, etc. Assisting in drafting internal presentations supporting potential acquisitions for senior leadership and board approvals Monitoring and analyzing market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments Liaising with internal strategy teams to solidify acquisition theses, transaction rationale, and synergy potential, and assisting in formalizing outreach M&A opportunities Participating in and supporting the due diligence process by facilitating information transfer between HID and acquisition targets; may participate in on-site diligence meetings as needed Coordinating with external advisors including accounting and tax consultants and legal counsel Monitoring and updating ‘closed deal’ database summarizing key terms such as purchase price, revenue and EBIT levels, representations & warranties, etc. Working with internal strategy teams to maintain ‘passed deal’ database Supporting cross-functional integration activities across departments such as finance, HR, IT, operations, etc., and ensuring completion of post-closing activities identified during due diligence Monitoring the integration process against standard KPI’s and reporting findings to business area and corporate leadership Documenting and recording integration processes and best practices in the existing integration playbook Your Experience and Background
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field required Master’s degree in related field or MBA valued 1-3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, venture capital, or transaction advisory services; other M&A/transaction-related experience will be considered Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint Strong financial modeling and valuation skills (DCF, LBO, multiple analysis, precedent transactions, etc.) Deep understanding of corporate finance, capital markets, and M&A processes Excellent communication and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines and remain flexible for ad-hoc analysis What we can offer you
