Underwriter I - Healthplan role at Summa Health. Location: SummaCare - 1200 E Market St, Akron, OH. Employment type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Days. Hybrid work arrangement. Summary

Evaluates data and risk characteristics of groups to assist in the establishment of prospect and renewal rates, working independently through initial recommendations. The Underwriter I has some experience in sales and/or underwriting support in the health insurance or related industry. Formal Education Required

Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience. Experience & Training Required

Minimum 1 year of experience as a Group UW or equivalent combination of experience and training in commercial health risk lines. Other Skills, Competencies And Qualifications

Word at a basic level. Excel at an intermediate level. Level Of Physical Demands

Sit for prolonged periods of time. Bend, stoop, and stretch. Lift up to 20 pounds. Manual dexterity to operate computer, phone, and standard office machines. Additional Information
