Senior Estimator - Flooring

We’re looking for a Senior Estimator to lead the estimation and preconstruction process for new construction flooring projects. This role is ideal for someone with a proven track record in estimating who is ready to take ownership of high-value bids and mentor others on the team. What You’ll Do: Drive end-to-end estimating for commercial and residential projects—from interpreting plans and specs to collaborating with sales, operations, and executive leadership. Serve as the technical lead in client presentations and take ownership of process improvement and mentoring. Key Responsibilities: Perform detailed digital takeoffs using platforms such as RFMS Measure and MeasureSquare Analyze architectural drawings and specifications to build complete estimates Actively engage in the preparation of detailed bid proposals, scope clarifications, and value-engineered options Collaborate across departments for smooth bid-to-award transitions Serve as the technical voice during client meetings and high-stakes presentations Mentor junior estimators and help evolve our internal systems and best practices What You’ll Bring: 5–7+ years of experience in construction estimating (flooring strongly preferred) Proficiency in estimating platforms like RFMS Measure and MeasureSquare Deep knowledge of flooring systems: LVP, tile, hardwood, carpet, sheet vinyl, etc. Strong technical and construction document review skills Excellent communication, leadership, and time-management abilities A strategic mindset with attention to detail and a drive to win Why Charlotte Flooring?
