Ambrook
Overview
Ambrook is hiring a Software Engineer, AI. Ambrook’s mission is to help family-run American businesses become more profitable and resilient. We are building modern AI-enabled tools for financial workflows in agriculture and industry, replacing legacy systems with scalable, user-friendly solutions. The role focuses on applying AI and machine learning to automate and improve financial processes for farmers and ranchers, including handling messy real-world data and building AI-powered tools that work in production. Responsibilities
Own: Development of intelligent systems and tools that use LLMs, NLP, and heuristics to streamline bookkeeping, inbox triage, and financial workflows. Teach: Share best practices around ML system design, evaluation, prompt engineering, and scalable AI infrastructure. Learn: Understand real-world financial data—from scanned PDFs to unformatted CSVs to text-heavy emails—and how to make sense of it using language models. Improve: Internal tooling and infrastructure for classification, tagging, summarization, and user-in-the-loop AI systems. Within 1–6 months: Build features powered by LLMs, establish evaluation pipelines, improve document extraction and tagging, and collaborate with product and design to deliver reliable AI features. Qualifications
You have built and shipped ML/AI-driven features, ideally with LLMs, in production. You are excited to apply language models to unstructured datasets and turn them into valuable product experiences. You are pragmatic about AI: know when to use an LLM, a regex, or a user interaction. Bonus: Experience with LLM APIs, prompt engineering, embeddings, vector search, or fine-tuning. Bonus: Experience with finance, transactions, document processing, or related domains. Bonus: Proficiency in Typescript, React, and Python-based ML tooling (LangChain, OpenAI SDK, Pinecone, etc.). Our Tech Stack
