Overview

Operations Coordinator at Boston University Hillel. Join a vibrant nonprofit community at a world-renowned private university to help connect people, vital resources, and support to enrich Jewish life on campus. BU hosts a large Jewish student population, and you will play a key role in supporting this community. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role works closely with the CEO, Executive Director, and Campus rabbi. You will contribute to behind-the-scenes operations, building operations, and program support, gaining experience in Hillel’s mission. This position includes robust training and mentorship from BU Hillel and Hillel International leaders. You will be part of a close-knit team of 12 professionals, participate in staff meetings, holiday celebrations, and signature events. What you’ll do includes building operations and oversight, student employee management, room rental operations, and information technology responsibilities. Responsibilities

Daily oversight of building appearance and functionality Liaison with Boston University Facilities for repairs and maintenance Assist Chief Operating Officer on building security, security protocols, and staff training Provide administrative support as needed for the Senior Leadership team Recruit, hire, train and supervise a team of 10-12 BU work-study students to serve as building receptionists Maintain working relationships with BU Work Study representatives and adherence to work-study arrangements Prepare contracts, invoices and diagrams for BU Departments and outside groups Coordinate setups with facilities Assist with marketing of space by giving tours and answering inquiries First point of contact for any tech issues among staff Manage inventory of computers and accessories What you’ll bring to the job
