Lead due diligence investigations and the design and engineering analyses of retail, commercial, industrial and residential site layouts across regions where we do business. Review municipal zoning and land development ordinances and applicable agency regulations to determine land development limitations for the property. Prepare Site Investigation and Due Diligence Reports, including ordinance review, utility service research, outside agency regulations and site visits to establish development guidelines. Prepare Conceptual Site Plans, preliminary grading plans and design. Design Stormwater Management and Stormwater Conveyance Systems, Utility Systems and Soil Erosion and Sediment Control Design Plans. Prepare construction cost estimates and project proposals; manage project budgets. Coordinate with clients, other consultants and project teams to prepare comprehensive site plan applications; prepare technical reports (drainage, sanitary sewer, site investigations) and written correspondence to outside agencies, clients and contractors. Present to planning and zoning boards, municipal agencies and project teams. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering. 5+ years’ experience in Civil Site Engineering (residential, institutional, industrial, and/or commercial site design and permitting). Engineer-In-Training (EIT) required; Professional Engineer (PE) required. Valid driver’s license and ability to operate personal and/or company vehicle. Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D; knowledge of Truck and Turning & Modeling software; hydrologic and hydraulic and stormwater design; utility design experience including pump stations and force mains. Proficient in design and drafting; proficient in grading and drainage design; experience dealing with regulatory agencies and review professionals; proficiency with mapping websites for due diligence and site investigations. Construction support experience; proficient in AutoCAD Civil3D, Hydraflow, HydroCAD, PondPack, SSA, HEC-RAS; StormCAD; Microsoft Office; Bluebeam Revu or Adobe for markups. Excellent written and oral communication; independent and critical thinking; superior organizational and delegation abilities; ability to work and lead in a team oriented environment with staff development and mentoring; client management experience.
