Overview
Tesla is looking for an experienced Sr. Stock Plan Administrator who will be responsible for the day-to-day activities of our global equity incentive programs, which include stock options, restricted stock units (RSUs), and employee stock purchase plans (ESPPs). This role reports to the Corporate Stock Administration team and is part of the Corporate Controllers group. The ideal candidate is familiar with global equity incentive programs for a large U.S. public technology company. This role has no direct reports and interfaces extensively with HR, Payroll, Legal, Technical Accounting, Controllership, Financial Planning & Analysis, Accounting, Auditing, and both Internal and External Audit. Responsibilities
Process transactions involving option exercises, RSU vesting, and ESPP purchases, with collaboration between HR and Payroll Perform reconciliation of records between Stock Administration, HR, and Payroll Maintain database integrity and accuracy of equity data using Equity Edge Online Coordinate with HR/Legal/Payroll to provide accurate mobility taxation for equity vesting in all countries Coordinate with Benefits to administer Leave of Absence policy as it relates to equity awards; provide excellent customer service to equity participants and respond promptly to employee questions Help develop materials and other employee communications; contribute ideas and assist with employee education programs, including trainings and information sessions (in person and via video conferencing) Prepare SBC expense journal entries and supporting workbooks for SBC recognition conclusions, including general ledger reconciliations Qualifications
5+ years stock administration experience in a US public company; prior accounting experience is helpful Very strong attention to detail and ability to perform self-audit to ensure data integrity and accuracy, including reviewing the work of others Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to make informed decisions Active CEP certification preferred, but not required; CPA license would be helpful Benefits and Compensation
Compensation: $72,000 - $168,000 annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits. Pay offered may vary based on location, knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package may include other elements; details of participation will be provided if an offer is made.
