ADP WFN Test Company 1 The BVT Analyst plays a critical role in ensuring the quality and reliability of software products through rigorous Build Verification Testing (BVT). This position is responsible for designing, executing, and analyzing automated and manual test cases to validate software builds before they proceed to further testing stages. The analyst collaborates closely with development and quality assurance teams to identify defects early in the development cycle, thereby reducing downstream issues and improving overall product stability. By maintaining and enhancing BVT frameworks, the analyst helps streamline the testing process and accelerates release cycles. Ultimately, the BVT Analyst ensures that only stable and verified builds are promoted, supporting the delivery of high-quality software solutions to customers. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Experience with software testing methodologies, particularly Build Verification Testing. Proficiency in scripting or programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar for test automation. Familiarity with continuous integration tools and build systems. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with test automation frameworks like Selenium, Jenkins, or similar tools. Knowledge of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Experience working in a DevOps environment. Certification in software testing (e.g., ISTQB) is a plus. Prior experience in a similar analyst or quality assurance role. Responsibilities: Develop, maintain, and execute automated and manual Build Verification Tests to validate software builds. Analyze test results to identify defects and communicate findings effectively to development teams. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand build changes and update test cases accordingly. Monitor build health and provide timely feedback on build stability and quality metrics. Continuously improve BVT processes and tools to enhance test coverage and efficiency. Skills: The BVT Analyst utilizes technical skills such as scripting and automation to create and maintain effective test suites that validate software builds daily. Analytical skills are essential for interpreting test results and identifying root causes of build failures, enabling prompt resolution. Communication skills facilitate collaboration with developers and other stakeholders to ensure clarity in defect reporting and test requirements. Familiarity with continuous integration and build tools allows the analyst to integrate testing seamlessly into the development pipeline, promoting faster feedback loops.
